About Me.

Meet me, Sakshi Vaidya - I am the founder of Be Translators and a leader of a team of successful Translation and Localization Project Managers. With a Master’s in Translation and Interpreting (English <> German) from Swansea University, UK, and a Bachelor’s in German Studies, I am an experienced translator, a former project manager, and a passionate linguist. For the past few years, I have been working closely with Cambridge Assessment International Education, UK as an Examiner for selected Indian languages.

Despite being multilingual, my journey into the translation industry was not straightforward. Early on, I found myself navigating the professional and academic stages without clear guidance, unsure of how to leverage my language skills for career advancement. This challenge ignited my determination to ensure others do not face the same obstacles. Today, as the former lecturer and syllabus designer of the online Business and Technical Translation course at Mumbai University, I am committed to educating and empowering future translators. Through my courses and community outreach, I aim to demonstrate how welcoming and accessible this industry can be, whether one wishes to pursue it as a side hustle or a full-time freelance career.

I have given talks and seminars on pursuing translation as a career option in various universities and schools, motivating students and professionals alike to embrace the dynamic field of languages and culture. As the creator of Be Translators, my focus is on helping people learn the skills needed to become successful translators and join the new translation economy.
